Need your Vote: Mr. Martin for SVTC “Innovation in Education K-12 Award”

The Shenandoah Valley Technology Council recognizes and highlights the successes of technology firms, organizations, and programs in the region and the entrepreneurs, innovators, educators, and leaders behind those successes.

This year, Mr. Chris Martin, physics teachers and robotics coach, has been nominated for the Innovation in Education K-12 Award.  This recognition is awarded to the educator or program in K-12 that provides exceptional technology leadership, innovative use and/or development of technology while encouraging students to pursue higher education or training in science, technology, engineering or math.

All nominees are candidates – and the company, organization, or individual with the most votes through social media will win. We encourage you (students, parents, and alumni) to participate and vote for Mr. Martin!

To VOTE, use the special hashtag #SVTCPC18  and the nominee’s name – Chris Martin in a public social media post.   (E.g. I want Chris Martin to win Education K-12 award. He is the best. #SVTCPC18)

To vote, post a message with the special hashtag and name via the following: Twitter or Instagram (set to public), or a private Facebook Messenger note to “Walter” (see details below).

To send a direct vote to the social wall via FB Messenger/ aka the bot ‘Walter’: Anyone who doesn’t have a Twitter or Instagram account, or doesn’t want to change his/her account to public can use “Walter”, the Walls.io Facebook Messenger bot who posts directly to the wall. It’s easy. Open your Facebook Messenger, compose a ‘new message’, and type Talk to Walter into the TO line. Once that populates, type out your enthusiasm for your nominee and remember the hashtag. (E.g. Votes are collected using the hashtag. Public social media posts that use the the hashtag #SVTCPC18 AND the name of the nominee (or company name or organization name) are found and tallied.
